Bookings & Check-in
-
The meeting point is at the reception desk in front of Gate 4 Café, located at Albufeira Marina.
-
During low season, we recommend arriving 20 minutes before the activity to allow a smooth check-in. During summer, due to the high number of visitors, we advise arriving 40 minutes in advance.
-
- By car: recommended parking at the Marina (paid underground car park);
- Giro city bus: red line (line 3);
- Train: Ferreiras station — continue by taxi or Uber. You can also take the Giro (lines 5 or 11 and then change to line 3 at the terminal);
- On foot: about 25 minutes from Albufeira Old Town.
-
Our rescheduling and refund policy is 24 hours before the start of the activity.
-
We recommend booking tickets in advance if you wish to secure a specific day/time. During the summer, same-day availability is limited, so we advise purchasing in advance.
Before Your Tour
-
To make the most of your experience, we recommend bringing:
- A jacket or windbreaker
- A hat and sunglasses
- Sunscreen and water
- Swimwear and a towel
-
It varies from person to person. Our boats offer a stable ride, which already greatly reduces the likelihood of seasickness.
If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend informing the crew at the beginning of the tour so we can help you choose the best seat on board and make your experience more comfortable.
-
Yes, our tours are suitable for children and older passengers.
The Dreamer boat is an excellent option in these cases, as it offers greater stability during navigation, easier access on board, and is equipped with a toilet, providing a more comfortable experience throughout the tour.
-
Dolphins are wild animals, so their sighting cannot be guaranteed. However, our tours are designed to maximise the chances of spotting them, as several boats go out daily and cover different areas along the coast.
That said, each trip is a unique experience in nature, and sightings always depend on the animals’ behaviour in their natural habitat.
-
Safety is always our top priority. If sea or weather conditions do not allow the activity to take place, we will contact you to reschedule. If it is not possible to find a new date, a full refund will be issued.
Onboard Experience
-
It depends on the type of experience you are looking for!
If you are looking for a closer-to-the-water experience and a unique perspective of the coastline and dolphins, the Insónia RIB boats are an excellent option.
If you prefer a more comfortable and family-friendly experience, with onboard toilets and a greater sense of safety during navigation, we recommend the Dreamer boats.
-
Although both boats operate the same activity, the Dreamer and Insónia vessels offer different experiences at sea.
The Insónia boats provide a closer-to-the-water experience and a more direct encounter with dolphins, while the Dreamer boats prioritise comfort, with onboard toilets, more space, and a greater sense of safety during navigation.
To learn more and choose the most suitable vessel for you, please see our Dolphin Watching & Cave Cruise from Albufeira
-
The Dreamer boats are equipped with onboard toilets. The Insónia RIB boats do not have toilets on board due to their layout.
-
We recommend bringing water during the tour. However, glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on board.
-
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on board our boats.
Safety and Accessibility
-
Yes! All our boats are safe and operated by an experienced crew.
For those who may feel uneasy at sea, we recommend the Dreamer, as it is a higher vessel, which creates a greater sense of distance from the water and therefore more comfort and security during the tour.
-
Access from the boarding gate, along the pontoon to the boats, is wheelchair accessible.
For boarding the Dreamer boats, with the exception of Dreamer III, we have an access ramp; however, keeping a wheelchair on board can only be guaranteed if sea conditions are favourable.
Boarding the Insónia RIB boats is not accessible or recommended for wheelchair users without a minimum level of independent mobility.
-
On board the Insónia RIB boats, wearing a life jacket is mandatory for both adults and children. On board the Dreamer boats, life jackets are only mandatory for children. Adult life jackets are available on board and can be provided upon request.
